Who We Are
Founded in 2016 by Kendrick Jackson, Youth and Families Empowerment Services (YFES) is a Multisystemic Therapy (MST) Agency that provides community-based mental/behavioral health intervention services to the youth aged 12-17 in Natchitoches, Rapides and its surrounding parishes.
What We Do
Youth and Families Empowerment Services offers intensive in-home and community-based services using Multisystemic Therapy (MST). MST has been demonstrated to be successful in helping young people between the ages of 12 to 17 who display serious antisocial behaviors and are at risk of being placed out of their home. Our counselors work with the child and family, as well as with teachers, extended family, neighbors, and the child’s peer group over a four-month period.

Youth and Families Empowerment Services (YFES) believes that healthy families are critical to a child’s mental and emotional well-being. We are committed to addressing all environmental elements that impact at-risk youth ages 12-17 years old. Our intensive program will foster hope and resiliency in today’s troubled youth.

We envision a community that is centered on a family first approach; ensuring that our best and most natural resources—children—will not only survive but thrive in today’s society. Youth and Families Empowerment Services’ goal is to help cultivate a culture of change and belief that all things are achievable to those who dare to aspire for something greater.
